Impress your friends and family when you learn the basic steps involved in making a decorated cake - baking & prepping the cake, making a variety of icings, creating different styles of borders, making flowers such as roses & violets, & decorative writing. Be the hit of every party with your own beautifully cakes! Some material expense - you must purchase cake decorating supplies & kit. You will receive a list (before class) of supplies to bring to class.

Do you have someone on your list that is hard to buy for? Who doesn't like chocolate? A neighbor, the mailman, a teacher, grandpa? Come to class and learn to make an assortment of chocolates - molded pieces, chocolates filled with dried fruits and creams, chocolate-covered pretzels and more. Your creations will be placed on a silver tray for presentation. You will receive a list before class of supplies to bring.

Catch the holiday spirit as you and your child learn to make molded candy in this hands-on workshop. Using melted chocolate wafers (in white, green, red, and traditional chocolate) candy will be poured into molds in Christmas shapes and also formed into lollipops. Candy makes great gifts for teachers, grandparents and friends. Each child keeps the mold they use, so more candy can be made at home. Bring a microwavable bowl, spoon, and container to take home candy.

Cupcakes are fun, and are the "latest thing" for serving at special occasions. In this hands-on workshop, learn to make an assortment of beautifully decorated cupcakes. Each week of class features a theme -make beautiful cupcakes that can be served at showers, teas, and formal gatherings, create cupcakes with seasonal themes (Halloween, Valentine's Day, Christmas, Easter, Patriotic, etc), then learn tricks to make whimsical and fun children's cupcakes - perfect for birthday parties, school functions, or play dates. In class you will learn to make an assortment of filled foods with international flavor - empanadas, wontons, spring rolls, cabbage, and peppers, as well as an assortment of appetizers, and flavor-filled desserts. Looking for special favors for your holiday table? In class you will learn to make a mini chocolate sleigh filled with chocolate covered pretzels. Paint your sleigh with colored chocolate, pour and assemble it, then place it in a cellophane bag complete with gift card. Keep the mold so you can make more at home.

In class, children will create two recipes, one entrée and one dessert which they can eat in class or take home to share. Children will have fun in the kitchen as they learn new cooking skills, try new recipes and make a cooking-related craft. Wear old clothes (as things may get messy), bring Mom, Dad or Grandma, and get ready to have some fun. For children 2nd-5th grade.

Something new and different for your holidays. Make a 5 pound candy wreath that is suitable for hanging, a table centerpiece, or gift giving. BRING five pounds of your favorite wrapped hard candy (sour balls, striped peppermints, tootsie rolls, etc.) and 3 yards of ribbon for a bow. You will go home with a.colorful candy wreath, complete with bow and scissors for snipping off the candy treats. Supply list provided before class.
