6/9/2008: DART Scholarship Winner

The Souderton Area Drug and Alcohol Resistance Team (DART) presented a scholarship award to Maggie Horvath, a Souderton Area High School senior who will be attending the Tyler School for Art. Maggie was presented with the $500 award by Peg Whomsley, advisor to the SAHS Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) Club.

Maggie, who held a leadership role with the SADD organization, was selected for her work with the club that is dedicated to educating students about issues from teenage smoking to drug and alcohol abuse. A distinguished honors student, she was a member of the SAVE club and the high school tennis team.
