Souderton School Board Received Strike Notification From Teachers Union - August 28th, 2008
The Souderton Area School Board received notification this evening of the Souderton Area Education Association's intent to strike on Tuesday, September 2, beginning at 7 am, if a settlement does not occur during the negotiation session scheduled for Monday, September 1.
In the event of a work stoppage, classes scheduled for September 2 will be cancelled, and parents will receive notification of this cancellation by 8 pm on the evening of September 1 via the school district's telecom notification system. In addition, updates will be posted on the school district website at www.soudertonsd.org.
If the work stoppage continues during the days that follow, a determination about classes will be announced each evening by 8 pm.
